What We're Doing

We are looking for ways that we can provide assistance - and that may be in unusual ways right now. We are working with School Administrators, Teachers, and the Community Schools Resource Coordinator to find ways and match the needs with ways to fill it.

  • Collecting Toiletries for Distribution

We are working with Project Be Kind to coordinate with local hotels for donations of toiletries to distribute to families that need them.

  • Internet Access

AT&T doesn't advertise it well, but they offer $5 and $10 internet, including a home wifi router, for eligible limited income households. They may pull a credit report during sign-up but your credit report will not disqualify you.

Speed options are up to 3Mbps for $5/mo or up to 10Mbps for $10/mo.

Go to https://www.att.com/shop/internet/access/ to start the process and apply. It will take 3-5 days from application to continuing on in the process.

  • Expanding Little Free Library

We are exploring options to expand the little free library that is located at the school to also allow board games or possibly toys to be provided or exchanged for those in the community to share.

  • Virtual Phone Book

Many of our children didn't get a chance to say goodbye to their friends, and they may not have contact information to be able to connect with them. We are working on a way to have a secure way to publish your information and keep it current only to others if you would like to, to allow us to stay close as part of the SMG family until school starts back up. This would also be especially helpful to any families that are moving to another school next year.
